NBC needs to shut up
We're watching the women's individual all-around gymnastics right now, and the announcers on NBC have some serious bias. They complain and harp on every little mistake that the Chinese girls make and they sit silent when the Chinese do well, but they ignore any mistakes that the Americans make and complain like crazy if they don't get perfect scores. Don't get me wrong, I hope the American girls do well, too, but I expect the journalists to keep it to themselves a little more.

It was seriously annoying, which is why I started muting the volume anytime a non-American was doing a routine. Much more enjoyable that way. :)
And did you notice how they stopped complaining about unfair scoring procedures once it became clear we were going to take gold... not to mention silver. Silly crybabies.
I was hating those announcers too. In addition to what you were saying, it was like the two men were commenting to each other all the time and ignoring the woman. "Well Tim, what do you think about that?" and then the woman would just pipe in with her opinion and everyone would ignore her and go back to what they were saying. I don't know why, but I was seriously bugged.
I was also forced into watching the gymnastics. i didn't care much about what the commentators were saying since i personally believe that the scores are all pretty much pre-decided anyways, but thats another story... My favorite part was the looks that the little girls would give each other, it looked like given the chance these girls would rip each other a part. Whereas in the guys competition they would all shake hands and congratulate everyone after each event. But i guess when you have a bunch of high school girls (or elementary school girls as the case may be) that is all you could expect.
they were probably bitter because nbc probably told them not to complain about the chinese government being an accomplice in helping the chinese cheat by using underage gymnasts.
