Yesterday I was looking up the schedule for the new Pirates of the Caribbean and the Yahoo movies web site suggested that X-men 3 might be a movie I would like. I'm pretty sure that Yahoo simply recommends every new movie, and that there's no science to it, but since I really wanted the Internet(s) to know how much I hated that movie, I wrote this big long review about all of the things wrong with it. And then my computer freaked out so I shut down the browser and forgot that I hadn't saved my review. So now it's gone.
Here's a new review. We did watch Pirates last night. I was a little worried about a sequel to such a sweet movie, since producers have a tendency to ruin sequels. At the beginning of the movie when the first supernatural person showed up, I was further worried that the movie was going to be unbelievable or hokey.
Then I remembered: This is the sequel to a movie about undead pirates. Undead. Pirates. The first movie wasn't so great because of it's deep message or moving story, nor because it was realistic. It was great because it was AWESOME. Undead pirates! So while this movie was probably even more ridiculously outrageous than the last movie, that is exactly why it rules.
In conclusion, go see this movie. Don't listen to ninjas. They're just jealous.

Why are they called "Undead" Pirates..woudn't it be better if they were called "Realive" Pirates?
I just saw Dead Man's Chest. I wasn't a huge fan of the first movie, but I really enjoyed this one.
It would have been nice to have some sense of closure at the ending though.
Sorry to make you ashamed B, but I wasn't the hugest fan of Dead Man's Chest either. I was relatively entertained, but I didn't walk out thinking "that was AWESOME," like some other people I know. I was so overwhelmed by all the crazy fight/action scenes. I left thinking "they could've taken out two fight scenes and I would've been WAY ok with it." Having said that, I've come to a realization: maybe I'm just too soft to appreciate the movie. I'm simply too weak to handle the Awesomeness that Bryant attributes to it. Maybe I need to work on my pirate-appreciation skills.
Saying that it had too many crazy fight/action scenes or that you could have had them take a few out and liked it more is like saying that you want them to tone down the awesomeness. "That was just a little too awesome. Do you think you could down the awesome; it's distracting me from the movie."
Maybe I identify with that a little too much, since people are always saying things like that to me. I guess they don't use the word "awesome, though. It's usually more like, "Bryant, could you tone it down? You're embarrassing me." I know what they mean, though.
Bryant, that is the greatest comment ever to be posted on any blog known to man. If I was Mormon (the prophet) and you had said that to me, it would have made the cut to be in the Book of Awesome (which I'm sure is one of those books yet to be revealed). In fact, I'm going to memorize that comment and use it as a spiritual thought at my next opportunity (and by that I mean, after I go see Pirates in the theater).
